I was not expecting this to become "You're Getting Old." Cartman actually evolving as a character? Sign me up. Normally I'd complain about the general incoherency of Cartman's plot and what he actually does. Only Cartman's so fucked up in the head that he needs to physically destroy all his stuffed animals in order to do so.
But unlike, say, "Tsst" or "Cartman's Mom Is a Dirty Slut" - two other episodes dealing with Cartman's psyche - the other plot wasn't nearly as good. Or funny. Most of the main jokes, about either the police incompetency; hippie protesters; or the media; have been used many times before. Not that anything was offensively bad, just not funny.
If I was just grading on laughs alone, this would probably be a C. Adding in Cartman bumps it up a notch, probably around a B.
